Bridget & Justin // A San Francisco Wedding ft. The Castro
What strange times. Weddings have shrunk and these windows in which I get a glimpse into a group of people, a community, a family, are so different. The banter is quicker, schedule aren’t overflowing, there’s time. Time to take a breath, to settle into the moment and appreciate what is going on around you.
That’s how I remember Bridget and Justin’s little wedding up near the Castro in San Francisco. It was one of those day where fog rolls in heavy waves over the city slowly choking out the light. Things seemed slow, as if in a painting. Heavy, wet air with a chill breeze blustered about. Cars wound up and down the hill in the background. To an audience comprised of a computer holding their friends and family and a rooftop holding the same, they laughed, they cried. When they kissed a nearby hill filled with the hoops and hollering of some curious onlookers. It was a day filled with joy bookended by stressful ones that didn’t seem to matter.
